Emma joined in February 2009 and joined the Monday night team.  She can be heard on Monday’s HRC Requests from 8.30pm.  In her own words, this is why Emma joined:

As a child, my friends and I used to record our own 'pretend' radio shows on a karaoke machine (playing East 17 and Michelle Gayle, oh dear). I thought it'd be much more credible to do the real thing.

I'd done voluntary work in the past but after moving to Chelmsford thought I'd get involved with something a bit different. I came down to HRC, Graham (Chairman) got me on board & now I love it!

After joining I was amazed how friendly, welcoming, helpful & encouraging everyone has been!

As I've not been with the station that long, I don't have any amazing presenting tales to tell. However I have had still had some good times like standing in a freezing cold field in the pouring rain & eating ice cream at the roadshow (thank you Graham)...  Watching a hilarious Elvis tribute act...  Baking toffee pie for my Monday night comrades...  Being loudly serenaded by a patient on the wards...The list goes on...    Emma
