Pete joined in July 2010 and joined the Tuesday night team. He can be heard on Tuesday’s HRC Requests from 8.30pm. In his own words, this is why Pete joined:

Since I've been here I've met some great people who have made me very welcome and spent their own time training me up and showing me the ropes. I've learnt some new skills and enjoyed presenting on the Tuesday and Friday evening request shows and I'm really looking forward to hosting my own show in the future. I also plan to learn about producing and the technical side, but one thing at a time!
It's not all about presenting though, part of my request show role involves taking time to go onto the wards visiting our audience and getting some requests, it's good to interact and let people see the faces behind the voices. No one has asked for an autograph yet!
There's also a great social side as well, I recently took part in a rounders tournament against other stations, however I hadn't played rounders for about 25 years and was a bit rusty.
HRC is a great way to gain valuable experience if you're a media graduate or plan to have a career in broadcasting, but it's also an excellent way to volunteer in your community whilst learning something completely new.
I'm really enjoying my time here and recommended it to anybody who is thinking about getting involved.
