ESSEX FOOTBALL VOLUNTEERS RECOGNISED AT AWARDS EVENING
Grassroots Game Under the Spotlight at Annual Event
Praise will be heaped upon scores of local football volunteers when they’ll be recognised for decades of service, fair play and dedication at the Essex County FA’s annual Awards Evening on Tuesday 30th July.
Accolades such as the FA McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards and mementoes for community activities will be handed out at Chelmsford City Racecourse to members of the grassroots community, whose efforts keep the game alive at the lower levels.
They’ll be treated to fun activities, a meal and a special ceremony supported by Hospital Radio Chelmsford to add to the prestige. Award categories which will be recognised on the night, which will be presented by Sir Trevor Brooking, include:
FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards
Groundsman of the Year Award
Fair Play Award
Exemplary Service (20 Years) Awards
Outstanding Service (30 Years) Awards
#CelebrateEssex Volunteer Awards
The event will be hosted by Sam Jenkins and Andy Holmes both presenters from Hospital Radio Chelmsford. The sound crew will be headed by Paul Morrish also from Hospital Radio Chelmsford.
