National Hospital Radio Awards Nominations 2019 Announced

The National Hospital Radio Awards is an annual celebration of the excellent standards found in hospital radio stations across the country.

The awards are open to any HBA member station and divided into different categories, each one recognising a specific area of excellence.

We are extremely proud to be nominated in two categories Best Speech Package and Station of the Year.

Best Speech Package - This award is designed to showcase the power of speech through the medium of radio.  The material must be original, produced and presented by the submitting station.  Our entry was presented by Nita Jhumma and was an interview with one of our cardiologist staff based here Broomfield Hospital whose hobby is "Knife and Axe Throwing"

Station of the Year - This is an extremely prestigious nomination as it showcases the best of Hospital Radio Chelmsford.  From the interaction with station listeners to the delivery of an engaging station output - a documentary style recording was put together featuring extracts from shows over the past year. The aim of the entries is to give the listeners an insight into our station, our volunteers, and the style of presentation and programme content.

The awards will be presented in March and of course we will let you know how we get on.
